It’s good to hear wonderful amazing places around the world, rather than hearing I do visit some important places. One of the beautiful caves I met when I on my way to Mumbai which is the gateway to India is the Elephanta cave. I even wonder such a great cave directly carved from the rock around 600 AD. The most beautiful thing in that place is stone sculptures of Hindu gods and goddesses, most notably the Trimurti of Brahma whom they believe as the creator. I thought of illusion when I saw the four heads one and back in the Brahma sculpture later my Indian friend told me that, the heads represent the directions .One thing I need to discuss here, the colonial architecture that they follow is the latest technology which they followed in olden days itself, that is the way of carving more sculpture In the single rock. Their art and sculptor carving is mind blowing that are well executed in sculptures of Shiva the Destroyer and Vishnu the preserver. The Lion sculpture at the entrance of Mandapae calibrates the Indian traditional architecture. There is a lot to confess about the Elephanta cave, but the truth is that one must have been there to enjoy the rare carvings found anywhere in the world.
